FOM & the Soil Biome.

Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) — the solid and liquid digestate stream from every CBG biorefinery — is the missing link that turns India's fertiliser-dependent fields back into living soils. A teaspoon of healthy soil holds more microbes than there are people on Earth; FOM is how we put them back.

What is FOM?

Fermented Organic Manure is the stabilised, nutrient-rich digestate produced when biomass and dung are anaerobically digested for CBG. It contains bioavailable N-P-K, secondary nutrients, humic and fulvic acids, and a living microbial consortium.

FCO-notified, market ready

FOM (solid) and LFOM (liquid) are notified under the Fertiliser Control Order — making them legally marketable, subsidy-eligible, and integrable into existing dealer and PACS distribution channels.

The soil biome crisis

Decades of synthetic NPK have collapsed the soil microbiome. >60% of Indian soils are now low in organic carbon (<0.5%). Fields stop responding to fertiliser — a silent productivity tax on every farmer.

Rebuilding living soils

FOM reintroduces 10⁸–10⁹ CFU/g of bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes and protozoa. Soil organic carbon rises 0.1–0.2% per year — measurable, MRV-grade carbon sequestration.

Closed-loop cluster model

Each 25 km CBG cluster returns its FOM to the same FPO farms that supplied the biomass — a true circular nutrient loop, with digestate priced preferentially for member-farmers.

Carbon & climate finance

Soil organic carbon gains and avoided synthetic-fertiliser emissions are MRV-ready — opening verified carbon credit revenue alongside CBG, fodder and FOM offtake.
